Oh my how I have neglected you all! Almost two weeks with no updates. =\ I will not let it happen again! A lot has happened in the past two weeks. Well….actually only the past week. The first week I was absent I was just bee bobbin along with my weight. So the first week I went back and forth from 204-202lbs and everywhere in between. Then, I met my girl Suzannah out at Coronado Springs for a mother/daughter weekend and we all did the Princess 5K. We also ate a bunch of crap that weekend, like….this…..
That my friends is a “kitchen sink” from Disney’s Beaches and Cream. It has every flavor ice cream, every topping, candy bars, cake and a whole can of whipped cream and cherries. This is the diet I maintained that 1st week I stopped updating. I had burgers, extreme tots from Sonic, McDonald’s, Cotton Candy, waffles with whipped cream, Mexican food, Chocolate Cola Cake from Cracker Barrel, sushi, fries with plastic cheese from Pecos Bills in the Magic Kingdom, etc. A whole bunch of crap that I had no business eating.
And then….just like that….something MAGICAL happened! I broke through my one and a half month plateau! Check it out!
March 1st:
Here’s what I had to eat for lunch…Sonic hot dog, iced tea and onion rings with catsup
Dinner was ribs, coleslaw with oranges and a 1/2 baked tater with butter, cheese and sour cream.
and for dessert….apple crumble with vanilla bean ice cream
March 2nd:
Lunch was a McDonald’s Chicken Sandwich with pickles and cheese, no bun.
I did walk my happy but all over Epcot that day and then over to Beaches and Cream again where I had a “No Way Jose” for Dinner. It’s chocolate ice cream, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, peanut butter, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, whipped cream and a cherry. I didn’t eat the entire thing but I made a good dent in it.
and I woke up to a 2lb weight loss the next day!!!!
March 3rd:
I had a business meeting at the WAVE restaurant at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. My lunch was a Veggie Cuban Sandwich with a cous cous salad.
I walked around Epcot a lil bit more and then my husband made me a bread-free cheeseburger with pickles and catsup and a side of sauteed cabbage in butter.
March 4th: (DING DING DING!!!!! I broke through 200!!!!!!) Oh joy and elation!
Ribs with bar-b-q sauce for lunch (forgot to take a pic til I was almost done eating them)
Dinner was baked chicken with cheese and honey mustard, a baked potato with butter and sour cream, green beans and then 3 home-made peanut butter cookies that I forgot to take a picture of. =*(
Almost a 2 pound weight loss even with the three lard based cookies!!!!
March 5th:
Lunch was Abuelo’s chips, salsa, Cilantro rice and two enchiladas.
Then I walked around Animal Kingdom for about 6 hours. For dinner I had the leftover rice from lunch in the car on the way home from Disney at around 9:30 pm. It was a lot of rice…mine and my daughter’s left overs.
March 6th:
This day I lost a lot more than 1.3 pounds. I lost one of my best friends. My 14-year-old calico cat. It was the most traumatic thing I have been through. I spent most of the day at the emergency vet. I wont hash out all the details here but it was sad and I had to have her put down. The only thing I could muster eating through all the sobbing was four or five fist-fulls of Quaker Oatmeal Squares cereal. I don’t recommend this to anyone. Our bodies need waaaay more calories to function on but the circumstances were severe.
March 7th:
Which brings us to today’s weight. I figured I’d lost something since I basically didn’t eat yesterday. I never thought it’d be this much though.
I shed a lot of tears yesterday…
I hit up another Mexican joint for lunch. Chips, salsa, chicken enchilada verde and some rice.
If you tally up the weight loss from the last day I posted to today, that’s a 9 pound weight loss. Overall I have lost 27 pounds since I started this journey on January 1st of 2011. I can’t believe it took me eating a bunch of crap to break through the 200 pound plateau I was in for almost a month and a half. I never thought I would bust under that 200 mark.
Photo of the day…
